This morning, Stu and I got the chance to visit Royal Leamington Spa, the town in which his dad was born. While here, we made a special trip to visit the War Memorial where one of Stu’s relative’s name is proudly engraved. We have rather a unique surname, so it’s always great to see what family history we can uncover. Obviously, this is a memorial, so not a particularly happy piece of family history, but a proud one nonetheless. We think it was a great-grandfather or great uncle, who fought and sadly died during the First World War. We’ve always wanted to visit Leamington and see this, so this in itself is a bucket list tick for us.
