8 Spooky Halloween Crafts for Kids

Halloween is such a fun time for crafting. So many opportunities to create spooky decorations and ghoulish designs. So much so, that i thought i’d compile a list of fun, easy and effective crafts, perfect for filling half term days or dark evenings.

1. Flying Ghosts

First up is this hauntingly fun flying ghost craft from Kids Craft Room I love this because you can make the ghost’s faces as spooky or friendly as you like depending on what your child prefers. I also love the interactive element of pulling the string to make them fly.

2. Puffy Ghosts

Next is this toddler friendly Puffy Ghost Craft which I found on Farm Food Family I feel that this is a good alternative to the flying ghost craft above if your children are slightly younger.

3. Pine Cone Spider

I really love this pine cone spider from Fireflies and Mudpies. Such an effective way of making use of those pine cones that the kids collect on autumnal walks. And I always love to work with natural materials.

4. Halloween Silhouette Art

How effective does this silhouette art from Arty Crafty Kids look? Perfect for older kids as the silhouette can be as simple or complex as you like.

5. Paint Splat Cauldrons

I absolutely love these paint splat cauldrons from Glued to My Crafts Blog they look utterly fantastic for such a simple craft. These are definitely on the list of things to try this year!

6. Paper Plate Skulls

Another fantastically simple yet effective craft from Glued to My Crafts Blog are these awesome paper plate skulls. They look brilliant and yet are so simple to create!

7. Jack-O-Lantern Magazine Collage

The Pinterested Parent have shared this unique pumpkin craft, which i think is perfect for older kids and for exploring different mediums. The end result is stunning!

8. Cupcake Case Ghosts.

Perhaps the most simple of all the crafts here. These cupcake cake ghosts can be completed in a matter of minutes, and yet they look wonderfully spooky! Shared by Nutriesco.

So there are 8 simple Halloween crafts for you to try this October. Link your favourite crafts below, or tell me which of these you’ll be trying at home.
